Susan kae Grant
Susan kae Grant is interested in working with photographers and book artists at all stages of their creative practice who are developing project-based work, often with the goal of a limited-edition photographic book or exhibition. Her mentorships focus on guiding artists from early concept through production by creating structured, time-based project plans that bring clarity and momentum to complex ideas. She works with mentees on project formation, photobook mock-up development, editing and sequencing, and the integration of text and image, alongside material and design considerations. Sessions may also include guided writing prompts to clarify intent, discussions of photographic work, and feedback on works in progress. Grant offers support in fabrication strategies, technical problem-solving, and navigating paths to collections and exhibition, as well as resources and design strategies for marketing to special collections. Through a highly individualized approach, she supports artists in bringing their work to fruition while building sustainable processes for completing ambitious projects.
