Bob Aufuldish is a partner in the San Francisco area-based design firm Aufuldish & Warinner and a Professor at the California College of the Arts, where he has taught graphic design and typography since 1991. In recent years his professional practice has focused on work for cultural institutions.

He has designed books and catalogs for the Center for Creative Photography, Aperture Foundation, the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco, Asian Art Museum of San Francisco, Denver Art Museum, SF Camerawork, and Pier 24 Photography, among others. He has designed monographs for a number of photographers including David Maisel, Todd Hido, Richard Misrach, Debra Bloomfield, Anthony Friedkin, Lindsay McCrum, Andy Freeberg, and John Priola.

His work has been selected for many competitions and publications, including AIGA’s 50 Books of the Year. His work is in the collections of the Cooper Hewitt Smithsonian Design Museum, Museum für Gestaltung Zürich, LACMA, Posterhouse (NY), and the Letterform Archive (SF). He was elected into the Alliance Graphique Internationale in 2011 and named a Fellow of AIGA San Francisco in 2019.
