Jason Burstein is the cofounder and production manager of Conveyor Studio—a printer and binder of bespoke books and an independent publishing platform operating at the intersection of photography, science, and natural history, with occasional explorations into the mysterious and metaphysical. He holds a BFA in Photography from Syracuse University and is a second-generation book printer and binder.
Conveyor Studio’s work has been featured in both print and online media, including The New Yorker, The PhotoBook Review (Aperture), It’s Nice That, Collector Daily, Paper Journal, YET Magazine, Vogue, Foam, Publish Your Photography Book (Princeton Architectural Press), and Self Publish, Be Happy.
Select publications produced by the studio have been shortlisted for—and in some cases have won—major awards such as the PDN Annual Photobook Award, the Aperture Paris PhotoBook Awards, and the ICP Infinity Awards. Their books are held in prominent international collections, including the Museum of Modern Art (New York), the Metropolitan Museum of Art (New York), and the National Art Library at the Victoria and Albert Museum (London).
