Kathy Dowell

With over twenty-five years of experience in creative and cultural production, Kathy Aron Dowell has worked as a museum director, curator, public art advisor, and large-scale cultural events producer.

She joined Mid-America Arts Alliance (M-AAA) in 2013 as the Director of Arts and Humanities Programming, where she oversees all curatorial affairs for the organization, including management of its national touring exhibition program, ExhibitsUSA. In addition, she provides consulting services for constituents throughout the M-AAA region and collaborates with senior staff to advance the organization’s mission of providing “more art for more people.”

M-AAA is particularly dedicated to enriching the cultural life of historically underserved communities by delivering high-quality, meaningful, and accessible arts and culture programs and services.
